I found the perfect job today! With a recent sharp decline in the number of items on my "to Do" list at work I've found myself more and more frequently mucking about online at Myspace and monster.com. Monster.com is usually pretty depressing. Everytime I find a job that sounds cool or interesting I'll get down to the bottom and they'll be some strange requirement that I don't meet. :o(
I found a few cool jobs today though--including this one:

Summary: The Center for Children & Families seeks a technology specialist specifically in the area of Website Development/Design for a 50-60% position. The technologist is responsible for coding HTML/XHTML pages, integrating JavaScript, images, and animations. Reporting to the technology associate at CC&F, the specialist will work closely with the technology associate, providing creative and technical expertise to the design and implementation of Web sites. He/she is responsible for getting projects ready for delivery to the client. This position offers the creative professional an excellent opportunity to grow and learn, as well as contribute her/his expertise in Web design.
Videoconferencing is also a part of CC&F’s distance learning approach, and the technologist will be responsible for conducting videoconferences for professional development purposes.
Essential Functions:
• Produces and maintains web sites, including online surveys, simple forms, and discussion areas
• Conducts videoconferences for CC&F
• May have direct client contact, and may provide technical support to clients
• Ability to estimate time to task, and assist with project planning
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with many different project teams
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with clients
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Professional HTML/XHTML and CSS experience, and familiarity with accessibility issues
• Extensive knowledge of DreamWeaver and Photoshop, as well as web development procedures and cross-platform issues
• Familiarity with Flash, ASP coding, JavaScript, and/or video a plus
• Desire to work in a collaborative environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Able to work on multiple projects within tight schedules and deadlines
• Sense of humor, flexibility, open mind, and a team player
A part time, entry level job paying 40,000 that would let me do web design, utilize my experience as a DLP technician and work for a non-profit community-development focused organization.
...If only I had my BA already. :o\
